The owner of Apartment 1205 in Dubai Marina reached out to us through WhatsApp after seeing our slat wall work on Instagram. The living room felt plain and echoey, with a large white wall behind the TV that gave the space no real character or warmth.
After a site visit and measurements, we proposed acoustic wooden slat wall panels for the TV wall and the kitchen breakfast counter. The goal was simple: add texture, soften sound, and tie the open-plan living area together without heavy construction or disturbing the family’s daily routine.

How We Transformed the Living Space
Our team started by preparing the TV wall, marking level lines and planning cutouts for the thermostat, sockets, and cable routes. We installed walnut-tone slat wall panels on black acoustic felt from floor to ceiling, wrapping them neatly around the bedroom door frame. The same wall cladding was then carried onto the breakfast counter and side column, so the kitchen and living room share one consistent look. Every panel was cut on site, fixed securely, and finished with clean edges along the skirting and ceiling line.
The Final Result and Client Feedback
The finished TV feature wall now gives the living room a warm, hotel-style feel. The vertical slats make the ceiling look taller, while the dark gaps create depth that changes beautifully with the cove lighting in the evening. Because these are acoustic wall panels, the room also sounds noticeably calmer, with less echo during movies and conversations.
