Project Overview
The homeowner of Villa No. 302 in Jumeirah Park contacted Shoukat Interior after seeing our flooring portfolio online, looking to replace the existing tiles with something warmer and more refined. After a site visit, our team recommended SPC herringbone flooring for the main hallway and living areas, suited to Dubai’s climate and the villa’s wall paneling.
With the material finalized, our installers began subfloor preparation, ensuring a level, moisture-free base before laying a single plank. Each piece was then cut and positioned at a precise 45-degree angle to build the herringbone pattern across the hallway and through multiple doorway transitions, keeping the lines continuous from room to room.

Why Herringbone Flooring Suited This Villa
Herringbone flooring has become one of the most requested flooring styles among our Dubai clients, and this villa’s layout made it an especially good fit. The angled pattern adds movement and depth to a long hallway, making the space feel wider and more architectural than a straight-lay floor would. It’s also a less forgiving installation: every plank has to be measured and aligned against the last, or the pattern drifts out of symmetry within a few rows. Combined with SPC’s resistance to humidity and temperature shifts, it made sense for a home built to handle Dubai’s climate without compromising on the classic European look the owner wanted.
The Final Result
Once installed, the herringbone flooring in Dubai gave the hallway and adjoining living spaces a noticeably warmer, more layered feel, with the natural oak tone sitting well against the existing white wainscoting and dark timber doors. The pattern carried cleanly through every transition point, with no visible seams or misaligned joints at the doorways.
The owner walked through the finished space with our team and was particularly pleased with how the flooring tied the interior together, calling out the neatness of the joinery around the wall panels as a standout detail. It’s this kind of finish we aim for on every project.
