Project Overview
This project came to us through a homeowner at Town Square Dubai who found our carpet work on Instagram and messaged us on WhatsApp. The family had recently installed herringbone laminate flooring and wanted a natural-fiber carpet at the entrance that could handle daily foot traffic, muddy shoes, and their pets.
After a site visit to Apartment 214, our team measured the entrance and hallway, then recommended a woven sisal carpet in a neutral grey-brown tone. The client approved the sample within a day, and installation was scheduled for the following week.

From Bare Entryway to a Warm, Practical Welcome
Before installation, the entrance area at Apartment 214 was bare laminate, prone to visible scuff marks from daily shoe traffic near the door. Our team custom-cut a sisal carpet to fit the exact angle of the entryway, working around the door swing and the adjoining hallway opening so the fit looked intentional rather than a simple rectangle dropped onto the floor.
To finish the edges cleanly, we fitted a polished brass transition strip along the full perimeter where the carpet meets the laminate. This not only gives a tidy, premium look but also prevents the carpet edge from fraying or lifting over time, which is especially important in a high-traffic entry point used many times a day by the family and their guests.
The Finished Look and What the Homeowner Had to Say
The finished installation gave the entrance a noticeably warmer, more grounded feel while keeping the practical benefits the homeowner needed, a durable, easy-to-clean surface that hides dirt and shoe marks far better than bare laminate ever could. The brass trim ties the carpet neatly into the herringbone flooring, so the transition between the two materials looks like part of the original design rather than an add-on.
The homeowner was pleased with both the speed of the job and the finish quality, mentioning that the entrance finally “feels like a proper welcome” instead of an afterthought. She has since asked us to quote a matching sisal runner for the staircase, and we look forward to continuing the project in the coming weeks.
