Project Overview
The owners of Villa No. 241 in Damac Hills wanted their staircase to feel softer, quieter and safer underfoot without hiding the clean grey tiles they loved. We designed a made-to-measure stair carpet in a warm taupe shade, fitted neatly to every straight tread and winder step.
Each carpet panel was cut to a precise template, finished with a matching bound edge and set back from the sides to leave an even tile border. The result is a staircase that looks tailored rather than covered, pairs well with the dark timber handrail, and stays comfortable for the family.

How the Client Reached Out to Us
The villa owner found Shoukat Interior while searching for stair carpet installation in Dubai and sent us a few photos on WhatsApp. Their staircase had two flights joined by quarter-turn winder steps, and the polished tiles felt slippery and echoed with every footstep. They wanted something soft and family-friendly but didn’t want wall to wall carpet. Our team visited Damac Hills the next day, measured every tread and winder, showed carpet samples in natural daylight, and recommended a dense cut-pile carpet with bound edges as the most practical and elegant choice.
The Final Result and Owner’s Feedback
Installation was completed in a single day. Our fitters worked flight by flight, securing each carpet panel with professional-grade adhesive so nothing shifts, curls or lifts over time. The trickiest part was the winder section, where every triangular step needed its own template to keep the lines sharp and the angles perfectly aligned. Once fitted, the taupe carpet blended beautifully with the grey tiles, black balusters and wooden slat wall, giving the staircase a warm, finished look. Footsteps are now noticeably quieter, and the soft pile offers far better grip than bare tile.
The owner walked the stairs with our team during the final inspection and was delighted. They told us the staircase finally feels like part of the home rather than just a way between floors, and that the family now moves up and down without worrying about slipping. They particularly appreciated how the bound edges and exposed tile border kept the design modern and easy to clean. A few days later, they recommended us to a neighbour in Damac Hills and asked for a quote on bedroom carpets. For us, that trust means more than any review.
